This project for Twin Cities & Western Railroad, the largest shortline railroad in Minnesota, gave us the opportunity to participate in improvements to rail service in our local area! The project scope included Erosion and Sediment control, Clearing and Grubbing, Excavation and Removals, Undercutting, Subballast Placement, and Topsoil Placement.
The project required over 10,000 CY of excavation, undercutting, and waste removal. Our expert crews placed almost 5,000 Tons of Subballast on the site and installed 14 LIN FT of 24”CMP. The final steps of the project were to place erosion control measures including 11,500 LIN FT of silt fence and final topsoil placement.
