We completed a full, building-face to building-face reconstruction of 12 blocks of Nicollet Mall — one of Minneapolis’s most iconic pedestrian corridors. The project included full underground utility replacement, structural upgrades, and the restoration of the decorative walking mall with updated finishes. With tight timelines, urban logistics, and public visibility, this job required precision, coordination, and expert execution at every phase.
Transforming 12 blocks of Nicollet Mall in the heart of downtown Minneapolis wasn’t just a matter of scope — it was a test of precision, planning, and performance under pressure. With the Super Bowl approaching, our team worked against a fixed deadline in a dense urban environment with no room for delay. The project involved complete removal and reconstruction of underground utilities — including storm sewer, water, and electrical systems — all staged to maintain emergency access, pedestrian flow, and business operations.
Tight site logistics, winter conditions, and continuous public interaction added complexity at every phase. Night work, just-in-time material delivery, and constant coordination with the City and stakeholders were essential. Our crews met the challenge with technical expertise, transparent communication, and an all-in, owner-driven mindset — completing one of the region’s most visible urban infrastructure projects on schedule and to spec.
