The Levee Park Dock Improvements project revitalized a high-profile public space along the Mississippi River. Our scope included driving a new sheet pile retaining wall to stabilize the shoreline, rebuilding storm sewer tunnels, and installing water lines throughout the area.
We poured decorative concrete walkways and constructed a new road to improve access within the park. By combining structural foundation work with utility installation and architectural finishes, Meyer transformed this riverfront park into a more functional, safe, and scenic space — balancing infrastructure with aesthetics to serve residents and visitors alike.
This project demanded technical precision and constant adaptation due to its location directly adjacent to the Mississippi River. Seasonal flooding and high water tables created significant geotechnical challenges during the sheet pile wall installation and utility placement. Working through cold temperatures and spring thaw, our team maintained progress while protecting environmental assets and managing erosion risks.
Space was limited, and we coordinated closely with city officials, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure minimal disruption to park access and nearby businesses. The successful completion of this multifaceted project highlights Meyer’s ability to integrate deep foundation, utility, and concrete work — even in sensitive, high-stakes environments.
