Meyer Contracting was awarded the earthwork and utilities package for the new Mandaree K1-K12 School. The overall project included construction of several structures including a main school building, a bus garage, a football stadium including a running track and several small buildings, a baseball field with dugouts and stands, and outdoor tennis and basketball courts.
Excavation: Stripped 60,000+ CY of Topsoil and temporarily placed in a stockpile or placed directly in green areas. The Cut to Fill operation utilized six 621 scrapers and two 627 scrapers for moving approximately 389,136 CY of material. Roads and Parking areas required subgrade prep, placing fabric, and installing aggregate base and the ballfield required placing 1,140.00 Ton of Ag Lime.
Utilities: Storm Sewer piping (3761 LF) and structures, watermain piping (3175 LF) and connecting to existing water system, Sanitary sewer piping (682 LF) and structures along with the installation of 1384 LF of drain tile for the track.
Building: Excavated and backfilled for footings, Prepped subgrade for sand cushion and placed and fine graded sand cushion section for future building.
