4th Street Reconstruction

Meyer completed this reconstruction of approximately 1600 feet of street.

Meyer worked collaboratively with the owner to optimize the roadway and utility designs which allowed the client to benefit from reduced cost and schedule duration in addition to further minimizing resident impacts.  The project was completed under budget and ahead of schedule.

The project was constructed under traffic, with access to resident driveways and alleys being maintained throughout the duration of the project.  Meyer worked closely with the City of S. St. Paul to maintain public relations by proactively providing accurate schedules of the work and allowing the residents to receive advance notice of work taking place.

Major quantities include 2,450 cy of common excavation, 3,270 ton of aggregate base, 1,650 feet of gravity storm sewer, 750 feet of 18” forcemain, 3,100 feet of 8” watermain, 3,300 feet of concrete curb and gutter, 800 sf of concrete walk and ped. ramps, 1,420 ton of bituminous, miscellaneous sanitary improvements and restoration
