To increase operational efficiency the track project extended the existing support track and constructed a second support track parallel to the first.
To construct the second support track, a new southernmost main was constructed and adjacent tracks will be converted yielding two mains, and two support tracks in the final configuration.
This project is comprised of the civil work required for the proposed track project.
This includes a new single track embankment south of the existing tracks.
In addition, a new single track bed and gravel access road with PCC curb will be cut from an existing slope, including a 625’ of soldier pile retaining wall and 3,600’ of storm sewer and track underdrains.
